Who runs this site

Dementia Atlas is operated by the Foundation for the Eradication of Dementia and Mental Illness, in connection with Accelerated Medicine Foundation Inc., a Wyoming nonprofit.

The short version

• We publish public health information. We do not ask you to create an account on Dementia Atlas.
• Pages are hosted on Vercel. Ordinary web request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page URL) may be collected by the host to operate and secure the site.
• Your care-guide checkboxes and theme preference can be saved in your browser only. We do not receive those selections on our servers.
• We do not sell personal data or show advertising on this site.
• This site is not medical advice. See also the terms of use.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. When you load a page, Vercel and related infrastructure may process technical data needed to deliver the page: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, and user-agent. That processing is governed by Vercel's privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

Dementia Atlas pages do not currently load Google Analytics or other third-party advertising or analytics scripts in the site layout. We do not set first-party advertising cookies.

If we add measurement tools later, we will update this policy to name them and what they collect.

What stays on your device

Some features use your browser's local storage so preferences survive a refresh. Typical keys include:

• dementia-atlas-guide-checked - which care-guide articles you checked
• dementia-atlas:theme - light, dark, high-contrast, or system theme

Those values stay in your browser unless you clear site data, use private browsing with storage blocked, or download or print a care-guide file yourself. Clearing site data for this domain removes them.

Health information

Content on Dementia Atlas discusses dementia and related care in general terms. We do not provide a patient portal, and we do not ask you to submit medical records, diagnoses, or insurance details to our servers.

If you type personal health details into notes you print or save on your own device, that information never leaves your device through Dementia Atlas unless you choose to share the file elsewhere.

Links to other sites

Many pages link to outside sources (for example ClinicalTrials.gov, the National Institute on Aging, the Alzheimer's Association, the Dementia Society of America, or FDA materials). If you follow those links, those operators receive whatever their own policies describe. We do not control their practices.

No sale of data, no ads

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or data-broker purposes. Dementia Atlas does not display third-party ads.

International processing

Hosting and related infrastructure may process data in the United States or other countries. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that technical data may be processed in those locations under the host's terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the site's practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
